I had a nice day out at the local flower show - described as 'The Chelsea of the West'. It lived up to its hype with the park crammed full of flower displays, crafts, local produce and music. I couldn't go last year as I was away in North Wales by the beautiful sea on a writing residential. It was nice to feel that lots of local people were all congregated in one place in a celebration of rural businesses, organisations and charities.
I was very impressed with the standard of crafts on display and picked up numerous business cards and leaflets. One that really stood out is listed below. Quite a few sellers don't seem to have a websites...
Luxury hand dyed yarn by Five Moons Yarns - they had a beautiful stall but I couldn't get in as it was a little on the small side and quite packed...nothing to complain about : )
If you're ever in Somerset at the start of August it is highly recommended as a family day out.
