Selling the Handmade Way

Bonnie from Going Home to Roost is about to teach an e course in 'Selling the Handmade Way'. By clicking the link you will find she has given her readers a round up of her articles published so far on the subject. I downloaded her e book last night and printed it off as I wanted to pin it up instead of leaving it hidden as a PDF on my computer. I found her comments on keeping inspired and consignment, where you place your items for free with shops, particularly relevant and helpful. I think organizing your craft space is definitely of the upmost importance. Since I pulled my stash out of hiding and walk past it all the time in my room I have found myself making more. I do most of my knitting and crochet on the sofa in front of increasingly rubbish telly (!) but was neglecting little bits of sewing which my desk, next to a window, is ideal for.

I've also made sure all the things I've made which I'm proud of are around me when I craft. As Bonnie says in the e book this can really fill you with confidence. The bear I made above is at the top of the list of things I've made which I truly love. He shows what I can achieve when I really sit down, take time to learn a new skill and have lots of patience : )
